3月に向けた重厚な土を感じる（土物皿）をご紹介　Tableware for Spring vol.33

How are you all doing as we begin the new year?
This year, once again, I’ll be introducing pottery that I hope you’ll all love.

The pieces I’m presenting today are the ceramic plates lined up here.

The pieces I’m introducing today are ceramic plates that are well-suited for use around March.
March is a time of festive events in Japan, such as the traditional "Hina Matsuri" (Doll Festival), which calls for tableware that reflects a sense of celebration and beauty.
For this reason, plates with red patterns are especially favored.
Additionally, March is a transitional period from winter to spring, which also influences the choice of designs and colors for this season.

Given that the cold days are still with us, I personally feel that earthenware, with its warmth and weight, is especially fitting for this time.
That’s why I’ve selected these pieces, which have a solid, earthy feel to them.
These are made from Shigaraki ware, and the color is called "Lake Biwa Blue."
It is said to represent the surface and depth of Lake Biwa.
This particular blue hue is quite rare, making it a unique and innovative choice.
Typically, such colors are not used in winter, but they offer a refreshing contrast during this season.

However, I thought it might be a good time to start incorporating brighter colors, so I decided to introduce these pieces.
Next, this is a small square plate, which features a design with gold and silver accents, making it perfect for celebratory occasions or meals for Hina Matsuri.
It can also be used as an 8-inch plate, or of course, as a dish for serving various types of pottery-based cuisine.

This is a pure white piece with a matte finish and a subtle, satin texture.
The rim is adorned with a gold accent, giving it both a sense of luxury and a calm, elegant atmosphere.
However, if you're still seeking warmth, I recommend using the heavier, more substantial earthenware pieces instead.

Today, I’ve also arranged some dishes on the plates, so please take a moment to have a look.

皆さんこんにちは。百舌鳥陶器の久米康弘です。

新年を迎えられて皆様いかがでお過ごしでしょうか？
今年も私が一生懸命、皆様に気に入って頂ける器を紹介させていただきますので、よろしくお願いいたします。

早速ですけれども本日並べました器は「焼き物皿」をご紹介させていただきます。

イメージ的には春先、3月ぐらいにお使いいただけたらイイかと思う焼き物皿をご用意させていただきました。

3月と言うとひな祭りなどもあり、少し華やかさがあるといいかなと思いますので
こちらの赤いお皿「朱巻内白8.0皿」。

あと、やはり冬から春になりますがまだまだ寒いので、私の感覚的にまだ土物の器がいいのかなと思います。
ですので、重厚な”いかにも土物”といった器の「黒窯変櫛目6.0高台皿」「黒窯変掛け分け5.7足付丸皿」「いぶし黒四ツ足瓦皿」「黒刷毛目草花皿」などもご用意してみました。

こちらのような「トルコ8.0パスタ皿」は”信楽焼”の器の青色は”琵琶湖ブルー”と言って琵琶湖の湖面・水面や深さなどを表現しているといわれています。
冬にはあまり使わない、目新しい明るい色の器もそろそろ使っていただいても良いかなと思いご用意させていただきました。

次にこちらの器「金銀彩四つ足正角皿（大）」は、正角の金と銀が施された器です。
お祝いの席、3月ではひな祭りなどにも使える八寸皿としても使えますし、焼き物をもりつけても良いかと思います。

こちらの器「渕金白マット切立皿（大）」は、真っ白ですがマット状の艶消しで落ち着いた雰囲気がありますが、縁が金になっていて豪華さもある器などをご用意しました。

この季節はまだ暖かさが欲しいなと思いますので重厚な土物の器を是非ご採用いただけたらと思っておりますのでよろしくお願いいたします。

盛り付けにしようした器は「黒塗り波彫四つ足八寸丸皿」になります。
